Youth Club

We run a regular youth club four evenings a week where young people can get involved in a variety of activities.

Sport

We have a large sports hall where we play football, dodge ball, badminton and tennis. We also organise trips out to local parks and sports centres for climbing, kayaking, dancing and more.

Music

We have a range of equipment at the centre and sometimes play guitar and share some songs, although we could do with more practise! We also visit local community spaces such as LCR FM (located in the Croissant of Ineqaulity) to have a go on the radio!

Arts and Crafts

We set up two tables full of art materials at the club which we make full use of in all of our sessions, enabling members to work on big projects, use our resources to help with homework or to make cards and decorations for annual festivities like Christmas and Eid.

Cooking and Gardening

Eating well is high on our agenda so we like to get our members involved in cookery and teach them healthy recipes. Different chefs also come in to teach us about different cultures and recipes.

We also have a large outside area with a greenhouse and potted garden, which any members who are green fingered or interested in learning about plants can help with. Recently we cooked a meal using all our own veg from the garden!

Residentials

We take our youth club members on some amazing residential trips throughout the country and Wales so they can explore the great outdoors with friends. We’ve found that trips can have a really positive impact on young people, helping to prevent anti-social behaviour and encouraging team work, confidence and self-esteem.

School Holiday Play Schemes (ages 7 to 12 years-old)

During school holidays, the club opens everyday 11:00am to 3:00pm and one evening per week.

Have you got any skills to share or opportunities for us to get involved in?

At EHYCC we love collaborating with groups from around the city. In the past we have done performing arts sessions which led to a performance for Chinese New Year. More recently we have had journalists coming into the centre to help the members make their own articles which will go in a magazine, and have also had some well being sessions for our young people!

Interested in working with us? Contact us via Facebook, Instagram, Email, Phone or pop in. Details can be found on the Home page.

Activities for the whole community

Pensioner Lunches

A chance for older people to come to the centre and share a meal with friends, take part in a game of pool or bingo, keep fit classes, reading groups and internet classes.

Tai Chi

Get involved with a class of authentic Tai Chi with our friends, Kam Lau School of Tai Chi Chuan. Visit www.liverpooltaichi.com for further details and to book.

Art Therapy

We also offer Art Therapy classes for anyone looking to relieve daily stress and strain and meet like-minded people in a friendly, active environment.
