At Edge Hill Youth & Community Centre we offer a range of high-quality classes, sports and activities for young people, adults and members of the community.
We run a regular youth club four evenings a week where young people can get involved in a variety of activities.
We have a large sports hall where we play football, dodge ball, badminton and tennis. We also organise trips out to local parks and sports centres for climbing, kayaking, dancing and more.
Our music room is full of instruments of all shapes, sizes and timbres for you to enjoy. We regularly invite talented musicians to come in and deliver workshops to our members. The facilities can also be used by young people learning an instrument or taking singing lessons.
We set up two tables full of art materials during the youth club, enabling members to work on big projects, use our resources to help with homework or to make cards and decorations for annual festivities like Christmas and Eid.
Eating well is high on our agenda so we like to get our members involved in cookery and teach them healthy recipes.
We also have a large outside area with a greenhouse and potted garden, which any members who are green fingered or interested in learning about plants can help with.
We take our youth club members on some amazing residential trips throughout the country and Wales so they can explore the great outdoors with friends. We’ve found that trips can have a really positive impact on young people, helping to prevent anti-social behaviour and encouraging team work, confidence and self-esteem.

During school holidays, the club opens everyday 11:00am to 3:00pm and one evening per week.
At EHYCC we love the performing arts. We occasionally have dance instructors coming into the centre and have done public performances in such events as Chinese New Year. We have started Drama sessions and are working towards a show this Christmas with the hope of continuing classes into the New Year. To inquire about future classes contact us.
